SUMMER FOODS FOR GLOWING SKIN

Glowing skin is  what we crave & lust for. We often take extra care of our skin by using innumerous products to look flawless.  But we forget the very basic and important step to get natural glowing skin. We eat oily, unhealthy food and expect the makeup products and home remedies to magically make our skin look amazing. But it is very important that we have healthy diet to get healthy skin.  I have listed few summer foods which can be included in your summer diet.




1) Water: This is basic but most effective way to get a natural glowing skin. Drink minimum of 3 litres of water every day. Water sweeps unwanted fat from body. It gives enough moisture to the skin. Water reduces oil production in the skin further avoiding Acne. Trust me, you will have a shiny glowing skin. You can flaunt your gorgeous skin without makeup too. All you have to do is Drink lots of water. Simply simple WinWin!





2) Tender Coconut Water: Summer diet is incomplete without Tender coconut water. It’s an amazing natural beverage. It has high amount of vitamins, minerals, carbohydrates and amino acids. These Nutrients enrich the face glow. Adding further it reduces heat in the body, avoiding acne breakouts. 





3) Green tea:  This is the healthiest beverage you can opt for healthy body & glowing skin. They have antioxidants and innumerous amount of nutrients. It also contains minerals as well. They help in fighting with bacterial infections.  Ultimately makes you feel young and active.





4) Almonds: In context with beauty, we use almond oil for good hair and skin.  But do you know? Intake of almonds can give you healthy glowing skin as well. They have great amount of fibre, proteins, fats, Vitamin E, and other nutrients. This helps in maintaining required natural moisture to the skin. They are great antioxidants too. 





5) Buttermilk : This is another dairy based beverage rich in protein, vitamins, carbohydrates. This enriches the skin quality resulting in healthier glowing skin. It is very soothing and refreshing drink, fastening our taste buds. YumYum!





6) Pomegranate : Pomegranates are one among the healthy fruits. They are rich in protein, vitamin & fibre. They are good antioxidants too. More the nutrients healthier the skin. The colour of the fruit also helps to achieve good healthy skin tone. 





7) Orange: Oranges are from citrus family, rich in vitamin C. It protects our skin from getting completely damaged by UV rays. In other words oranges are anti tan experts which are tasty as well. WinWin!



8) Papayas: Papayas are rich in proteins & have antioxidant property. The active enzymes work as great cleansers. All these nutrients make the skin healthy & flawless.





9) Salads: Salads with spinach, Carrots, corn, Pomegranate, cucumbers, broccoli, tomatoes-are really good for nourishing and rejuvenating skin. This is a perfect summer diet with a heap of nutrients.





10)Salmon:  Fish lovers, here is a great news for you!  Salmon is great for glowing skin. It is rich in protein, vitamin A,D&B-12,  Calcium, carbohydrates. These nutrients work really well in enriching healthy skin.




You can choose watermelons,lime juice, berries anytime, because they are great summer foods. These were few nutrient rich foods you could slip into your summer diet this season.

Summers are already its midway. The season yearns for changes in our life style. Sweaty summers needs our body pampered so that we no more crib about them. Wardrobe and make-up are also eyeing and wailing, “We want change”. And in the days, I also noticed that there are certain do’s and don’ts to follow in this season. And further realized that something could be classified as summer essentials. The word says it all right? Let’s sneak a peek on summer must haves.


SKINCARE MUST HAVES1.

1.Sunblocks/Sunscreens Sunblock is a physical barrier between UV rays and skin.  Sunscreen are the once which penetrates into the skin and protects skin from harsh sun rays. This was the shortest description i could think off. More the SPF number longer the protection hours. Never step out of the house without sunscreen on. No matter what season it is make sunscreen your best friend.
            Apply it half an before stepping out to the sun. It is very important to analyze which product suits your skin the most. Test them on your wrist to conclude your type of sunscreen. You need to apply every 5 hours if you are constantly out for a long time.




2.Lip Sunscreen:  We often forget to take care of our lips. Yes, UV rays do harm your lips too. Switch to Lip balm with minimum of SPF 15.




3. Face mists: Summers tend to make our skin sweaty & dull. Face mists work like magic for a fresh look. Spray the face mist all over your face with an arm distance. It instantly hydrates the skin with the natural glow. You can use DIY face mists as well.



4. Lip shades of shades of Red & Nudes: These are the 2 must have shades for summer which goes well with all of your outfits. Red can instantly brighten your face without any need of much eye maker. Nudes go well with daily wear & smoky eye look as well.


5. Product with SPF: Own brands with SPF, be it a BB cream or translucent powder. Being fancy is good. But while it protects our skin it’s great. Get smarter on product buys. Never allow UV rays harm your skin directly. 




6. Product with cream/Powder Base: Go for cream based or Powder Based foundations, Sunscreen, concealers. Avoid lotion based products. Use oil free moisturisers. It gets our skin greasy in summers. This simple switch can work wonders this season.

1.      BAGS: Summer trends are incomplete without pretty arm candy collections. We totally lust for these. Owning verities can complete your Accessory wardrobe anytime. Tots, Pom-poms, Jutes, Tan- Love , Rope handles, pastels, abstracts, spacious darlings, bag packs. Always own a great bag to complete your look.




2.      Sunglasses: Statement sunglasses are our summer bae right? Make sure your own one perfect shade which enhances your look and also gives protection to your eyes from harsh sunrays. Do invest on a good branded shades . Oversized are still the shady trend. You can check out varieties such as double wired, Aviators , cattymeows, blacks flat headers gliders etc.




3.      Scarf: Style your summers with smart protection. Scarfs are amazing to accessorize your outfits. Running on a dusty hair day, scarfs are your saviours. Floral gets your look bang on, on any outfit. To keep them handy, knot them to your bag handles and flaunt with finesse.




4.      Bobby pins & elastic bands: Always  carry bobby pins and elastic bands in your bags .We always end our dayst with messy buns in summers, don’t we? This is definetly  a must have. We can’t go sweaty with loose hair all day long right ? This fix our problems.




5.      Umbrellas & hats: Posses these mini shelters. Always own an umbrella (light colours are love ) which fits in your bag easily. At times you can go ahead with the long cool umbrellas. Hats are add on sweeties to make our outfit way more pretty and elegant .So these are must haves during summers.





MUST HAVE WARDROBE ESSENTIALS :

1.      Summers always grace with fashion. Keeping the same in mind we also cannot ignore the fact that all lavish materials cannot be draped in summers. Our body needs something light and classy. Closets need to be upgraded with Lenin, cotton, rayon, fabricated outfits.

12 EASY DIY FACE MISTS

Our hectic lifestyle and harsh weather makes our skin dull and unhygienic. Sunburns and dehydration with excessive oil accumulation in the skin pores add acne, black heads, dark patches and more.

     Face mists solve the above listed problems. Just spray it all over your face leaving cool and soothing effect. It gives instant moisture and glow to the skin. It can also be used as a makeup setting spray.
     Why to spend so much on a face mist? While we can make it ourselves using simple, easily available ingredients. Firstly, make sure you buy a small travel friendly spray bottle which is available in any supermarkets or online stores. Make sure it has a spray head similar to that of a perfume bottle. Refrigerate the face mist prepared to get soothing effect and desired results. 



12 EASY DIY FACE MISTS


1.Aloevera + mineral water

Take 1 spoon full of aloevera gel  (you can use natural aloevera extract but the gel gives sweet scent to your face mist ) and add 1 cup of  mineral water. Mix them well. This gives natural clean look.



 2.Rosewater + Aloevera 

Add 1 spoon full of aloevera gel to rosewater until the gel dissolves completely in the rosewater. Maintain clear skin with this formula.


 


3.Rosewater + Tulsi/Basil 

Fill the rosewater in the spray bottle. Add 4-5 tulsi leaves into it. It detoxifies and is antibiotic, Rosewater adds glow to the skin.


4.Rosewater + Neem 

Fill the rosewater in the spray bottle. Add 4-5 neem leaves into it. This is especially for acne prone skin.


5.Rosewater + Mint

Fill the rosewater in the spray bottle. Add 4-5 mint leaves. This will keep you all day fresh.


6.Rosewater + Cucumber 

Take 10 spoons of rosewater. Add 5 spoons of cucumber juice. This will keep your skin fresh and reduces itchiness and puffiness.


7.Rosewater + Lemon

Take 10 spoons of rosewater. Add 2 spoons of lemon juice. We all know that lemon is a very good cleanser with citric properties. This keeps your skin clean, clear and fresh.


8.Rosewater + Aloevera + lemon

Take a spoon full of aloevera gel. Add 2 spoons of lemon juice. Add rosewater until the mixture dissolves completely in rosewater. This is for clean, clear, moisturized skin.


9.Rosewater

Rosewater enhances the glow and retains moisture in the skin. It also helps in closing the pores avoiding accumulation of dirt and oil. This also gives a soothing effect.


10.Dilluted tea + Vitamin e capsules

Boil the water and dip the tea bag in it. Keep the decoction in the refrigerator all night. Add 2 vitamin e capsules by cutting the end of the capsule. This is especially for people with dry skin, you get the required moisture to skin. It also helps in reducing acne marks, wrinkles and dark patches.



11.Peppermint tea + Roewater

Boil the water and dip the peppermint teabag in it. Refrigerate the decoction overnight. Add double the amount of rosewater and mix it well. Use it for soft, clear skin.


12.Coconut water + Aloevera +almond oil

Add 1 spoon  full of aloevera gel and 3 drops of almond oil to a cup of coconut water. This adds healthy moisture to the skin and also adds natural glow. This keeps your hydrated and clear.
